Who is this course for?

This course is designed for individuals who would like to start a career or re-enter employment in the hotel or catering industry — even without prior experience.
It is ideal for beginners, career changers, and those re-entering the job market.

This training prepares participants for positions in the hotel, hospitality, and service sectors. You will learn all the essentials — from guest service and hygiene to organization and practical industry knowledge — to ensure a successful start in the hospitality field.

    Total duration: 24 weeks (6 months)
    Scope: 1080 teaching units (680 theory + 400 practice)
    Format: On-site classroom training
    Location: WIECO Education Center, Wipsch 15, 56130 Bad Ems and Römerstraße 1–3, 56130 Bad Ems

    Fundamentals of hospitality and gastronomy
    Guest service and communication
    Hygiene standards and occupational safety
    Product knowledge and stock management
    Food and beverage knowledge
    Organization of work processes
    Cash register systems and accounting
    Job application training and workplace preparation

Objectives & Outcomes

    After completing the course, participants will be able to:
    Work confidently in guest service and hospitality
    Apply hygiene standards correctly
    Organize workflows in the kitchen, service, or reception
    Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues

Language

The course is conducted in German.
If needed, additional support is available in Russian or English.

Funding & Costs

Participation is 100% free of charge with an Education Voucher (Bildungsgutschein) from the Employment Agency or Jobcenter.
We are happy to assist with the application and enrollment process.

Certificate

After successful completion, participants receive a Certificate “Service and Hospitality” from the WIECO Education Center.
